I need courses, does anyone know where?
I’ve been reading job descriptions for cybersecurity roles, and many of them mention information security standards like ISO/IEC 27001. I feel like I’d benefit from a course that actually explains these standards and how they apply in real workplaces, but most general security courses I’ve seen don’t go into that much detail. Does anyone know a good starting point?

Absolutely — understanding standards like ISO/IEC 27001 can really set you apart, especially if you’re aiming for roles in governance, risk, or compliance. When I was researching entry-level training that still has real professional value, I came across a foundation course that focuses just on that — the basics of information security aligned with ISO/IEC frameworks. You can find all the details here EXIN Information Security Foundation (ISO/IEC 27001) — my experience . What I liked most about it was how it explains not only the concepts, but also why those standards are important for building secure systems and policies in organizations.
