Postnatal doula services
Imagine...
A warm bath without interruption. A proper nap. A hot cup of tea. Someone to talk to when things feel tough.
That’s what postnatal doula support can give you - practical help, emotional support, and a calm, consistent presence as you navigate life with your newborn.
What to expect from postnatal doula support
I know how it feels to bring home a new baby. Everything has changed, and suddenly you're expected to keep up with the world while learning how to care for your baby and recover from birth.

We used to have a village to support us - now we need to rebuild that village for ourselves.

As your postnatal doula, I’m here to lighten the load, help you feel more confident, and make sure you don’t have to do it all alone.

Every family’s needs are different, and your needs might even change day to day. Here's how I might support you in a session:

-
Watch your baby while you rest, eat, shower, or attend appointments
-
Be a listening ear for whatever’s on your mind - or celebrate your wins!
-
Prepare food, make you a cup of tea, and ensure you get time to enjoy them
-
Support older siblings while you bond with your baby - or vice versa
-
Offer infant feeding support (breast or bottle) as a trained coach
-
Accompany you to appointments or join you for a supportive walk

Every session looks different, and if you’re not sure what you need yet, that’s ok. We can work it out together.

I’m an accredited Doula UK postnatal doula, trained through Younique Postnatal, working across Colchester and North Essex/Suffolk. I offer gentle, non-judgemental, flexible support for up to a year after birth.

I work with families within approximately 40 minutes from my home in Great Horkesley. Travel up to 10 miles is included. Beyond this, mileage is charged at 45p per mile (return journey).

Choosing the right postnatal doula is personal. I always recommend chatting with a few of us to find the right fit.

I offer a free, no-pressure 30-minute chat—in person, by phone, or video.

Support doesn’t have to be booked in advance. Some parents wait until baby arrives, or when a partner returns to work. I support families up to a year postpartum.
