Can You Rent a Hospital Bed for Home Use, and What’s Usually Included?

I’m trying to sort out home care equipment and I keep seeing mixed info about renting hospital beds. Some people say it’s common and straightforward, others make it sound complicated with a lot of “extras” that aren’t actually included. I’m also not sure if you can rent for a short period (like a few weeks) or if most places expect longer-term rentals.

Something I didn’t expect: the mattress question matters a lot. Many rentals come with a basic foam mattress unless you request a pressure-reducing surface (which can affect comfort over time). Also ask whether they include an IV pole, trapeze bar, or overbed table if those might become useful. Checking can you rent a hospital bed https://hospitalbed.rentals/ helped me think through those add-ons before I was standing in the living room realizing we were missing something obvious.
